Sensitivity Training – the american way!

Do you know that in America the employers can force you to take part in sensitivity training seminars. So, what happens if you refuse?

What really happens is that you might loose your job or even miss out on being promoted. This sensitivity training can be compared to some of the more brutal things that they did in China, which was a form av reeducation camps introduced by the communist regime.

In America, sensitivity training is used by universities, workplaces and the armed forces.

The major problem with the sensitivity training is that it is all about controversial moral issues.

The sensitivity training is part of something bigger and it all comes from the political left, also known as progressives or postmodernists.

What do the progressives / postmodernists believe? According to Kim R. Holmes and her book The Closing of the Liberal Mind – How Groupthink and intolerance define the left, the postmodernists / the progressives believe that anything that has ever happened in the past has nothing to do with them. They do this because according to the postmodernists every day is a new day and history is irrelevant to them (Holmes.2016:100).

What is true and what is false?

When i listen to what politicians and other people are telling us i think a lot about the question: What is true and what is false? 

This is so important because we must be able to trust each other and to trust our elected politicians. Because if we can´t trust each other we won´t be able to build a functioning society or a democracy.

So, when we here different versions from President Trump when he is asked about the connection between his campaign and Russia, depending on who asks the question, something is very fishy.

So, if we want to establish relations between people we must talk to each other and to tell the truth. To lie or deceive each other is not acceptable. At the same time distortion of the truth or facts and different forms of manipulation is unacceptable.

I believe in a society where people meet each other, establish relations, and want to work together instead of working against each other.

As a human being i believe in treating people with respect and human dignity. I am against all forms of hate, bigotry, racism, intolerance or prejudice. Instead i want to meet people in real life and get to know new people from different parts of the world.

Bill Clinton – Presidenten som blev kapitalets man i Vita Huset

Bill Clinton var relativt ung när han tillträdde som USA:s President efter att han gått till val på att skapa tillväxt och det genom ett ambitiöst program med omfattande federala utgifter.

Men, sedan hände något. Det som hände vara att hans rådgivare tvingade honom att backa därför att presidentens plan skulle uppfattas på ett negativt sätt av aktiemarknaden och därmed bidra till ökade räntor och minskad tillväxt.

Helt plötsligt så började Clinton att istället omge sig med personer som representerade kapitalisterna. Finansministern byttes ut mot en bankir som tidigare haft ansvaret för Goldman Sachs. Rubin stannade inte kvar under hela mandatperioden eftersom han valde att lämna i samband med att Glass-Steagall act förändrades, vilket medförde att han tjänade väldigt mycket pengar på det. För att ersätta Rubin så utnämnde istället Bill Clinton en annan från finansvärlden, nämligen Lawrence Summers. Samtidigt så valde han att återigen rekrytera en annan person med starka band till den kontroversiella Ayn Rand, nämligen Alan Greenspan, som varit chef för Federal Reserve.

I december så kom sedan nästa märkliga beslut från President Clinton, när han valde att skriva under en ny lagstiftning som helt enkelt förbjuder alla former av regleringar av handel med derivat.

Dock visade sig att President Clinton var en person som lärde sig saker och ting snabbt, så han började plocka in en massa personer från Wall Street som rådgivare och många av dessa är kända som Wall Street fixers (Lofgren.2016:77-78).

Detta behövs för att kunna påbörja underrättelseprocessen

Att jobba med underrättelseverksamhet är ganska krävande och det behövs  till att börja med att de som behöver informationen preciserar vad det är som behövs och vilken fråga eller vilka frågor de vill ha svar på (Hughes-Wilson.2016:58).

För att ta nästa steg så måste vi dessutom förstå de olika sätten att genomföra underrättelseinhämtning. Dessa metoder förkortas SIGINT, HUMINT, IMINT, ACINT och RADINT.

SIGNALSPANING (SIGINT) 

Signalspaning som i Sverige görs i första hand av Försvarets radioanstalt (FRA), handlar om att samla in underrättelser via bland annat Satellit. Det kan också genomföras via olika typer av sändare som finns på jordytan eller genom att signalspana i kablar. Tidigare förekom det också signalspaning via flyg som då flög intill gränsen till det land man ville signalspana mot.

Personbaserad inhämtning (HUMINT) 

Den personbaserade inhämtningen av underrättelser kan göras på flera olika sätt. Det kan vara allt ifrån att ställa frågor till turister och flyktingar. Det förekommer också att det här genomförs helt öppet och är en del av det diplomatiska arbetet på en ambassad, men det används även inom det militära, det polisiära och bland forskare.

Bildunderrättelsetjänst (IMINT) 

Ett vanligt sätt att bedriva bildunderrättelsetjänst är att använda sig av flygplan för att fotografera hur det ser ut på en viss plats. Men, med åren så har det också kommit att bli som så att rymdsensorer används i arbetet.

Akustisk underrättelseinhämtning (ACINT) 

Den här typen av underrättelseinhämtning fungerar som så att man bland annat lyssnar på akustiska ljud från bland annat främmande ubåtar (Grahn.2016:34-42).

 

President Bush´s legal advisors

If we want to understand anything of the things that happened after 9/11 – 2001, we have to take a closer look at President Bush´s advisors and how they reacted.

Bush´s legal team went more or less into overdriver. One person who we have to take a closer look at is David Addington. He is a lawyer and specialist in national security law. Together with Vice President Dick Cheney he started a discussion about how far the Administration could go when it comes to extending the  president´s war powers.

He was joined by other advisors with very conservative views, among them John Yoo and Timothy Flanigan. What we have to underatand is that both John Yoo and Timothy Flanigan believed in reestablishing the very conservative interpretation of the U.S. Constitution. According to this kind of interpretation, the U.S. President can more or less wage war  unilaterally.

David Addington happened to believe that the U.S. President as commander in chief can disregard earlier known legal boundaries if national security demands it.

Even vice president Dick Cheney took a very conservative standpoint and argued that the detainees will get the treatment that we as conservatives believe that they deserve. What they really want to do is to remove all the rights that normal prisoners have. In this case the argued that the unlawful combatants don´t deserve to be treated like normal prisoners of war. Instead the Bush administration created a new paradigm and designated the captured combatants from Afghanistan “illegal enemy combatants”.

This created a completely new climate and other countries protested against this designation, because it is a violation of the Geneva Conventions (Mayer.2009:46-56).

The Iran Nuclear Deal

We are living in a very unstable world. There are so many players and different interests. Just look at the situation in the Middle East. When America decided to leave parts of the region it caused a major vacuum, and Iran used this situation.

When angry people participating in a mob attacked the Embassy of Saudi Arabia, the response from Saudi Arabia was to cut of the diplomatic ties with Iran.

Just a few days later Sudan and Bahrain did the same thing, and at the same time the United Arab Emirates decided to  downgrade the diplomatic ties with Iran.

Earlier Iran have been held in check because of international sanctions related to accusations about development of nuclear weapons.

But under the Obama Administration President Obama decided to negotiate with Iran, but he did not do it in a way that is open and transparent. Instead he used different back channels. He ordered one of his senior advisors, Valerie Jarrett to take care of the negotiations.

When we look at the results of these negotiations, it is obvious that America was not the winner. Iran got everything they wanted and they gave almost nothing in return to America and the other countries taking part in this negotation. The sanctions against Iran was lifted and at the same time Iran go lots of hard currency from the west. Money that earlier was unavailable because of the international sanctions. By liften the sanctions Iran will now receive 150 billion dollars (Sekulow.2016:10-11).

I love to write about the world

Writing and blogging about things that do happen in our world is something that i really enjoy doing.

I work with facts to avoid guessing and speculation, disinformation or political manipulation. Thats why i only work with credible sources, among them written books by people who are experts or  have anything to contribute that is important.

I also believe that the public have the right to know everything and get the complete picture, instead of any kind om media manipulation or spin.

When you write it´s so important to try your best and to be fair and to show things from different perspectives, because things can be really complicated in this world. Things are never red or blue, black or white.

Perestrojka och Glasnost blev slutet för sovjetsystemet och Gorbatjovs fall

Det började med att Gorbatjov saknade allt som handlade om ekonomiska reformer och någon typ av politik gentemot de forna sovjetrepublikerna. Nästa steg blev att han började släppa på den politiska kontrollen efter råd att göra så från de mer reforminriktade.

 

Makt kom att överföras till olika regeringsorgan och sakta togs ett steg mot demokratiska val och där det påstods att all makt finns hos det sovjetiska folket.

 

Problemen började redan tidigare, nämligen den 9 april när ryska trupper mer eller mindre invaderade Georgiens huvudstad Tbilisi och tog till våld mot 10.000-tals fredliga demonstranter som krävde självständighet från Sovjetunionen. Det hela slutade i en massaker.

 

Gorbatjov var i London den dagen och återvände först på kvällen. Det visade sig först vara oklart vem som gett order om attacken i Tbilisi. Yegor Yakovlev som då var en av företrädarna för Högsta Sovjet åkte till Tbilise för att utreda vad som hänt och han drog tillslut den slutsatsen att det inte fanns någon anledning eller försvar för att använda våld.

 

Sakta men säkert blev det tydligt för folket att landet var på väg mot sitt slut och sovjetunionens upplösning. Under slutet av 1989 så blev det tydligt att det glädjerus som kom som en del av Perestrojka hade kommit att försvinna. Det var omfattande köer till allting. Först 1990 hade dessa köer kommit att mer eller mindre försvinna eftersom det inte längre fanns något att köa för då det var brist på allting.

 

Till och med media drabbades. Först var det brist på papper och sedan fick de slut på bläck eftersom de utländska företag som tidigare sålt detta till Sovjetunionen slutade att leverera eftersom de inte fick betalt.

 

Något annat som kommit att förändras var den interna attityden i landet. Fler ansåg nu att Sovjetunionen var det värsta landet i världen och som fungerade som en avskräckning vad gäller “hur man inte ska leva”. De som stödde det här sättet att se på saken hade ökat från 7% till 56% (Ostrovsky.2015:92-100).

Vladimir Putin´s nationalistiska ideologi!

Under President Vladimir Putin i Ryssland så har det kommit att utvecklas en ny nationalistisk ideologi och en viktig del av denna går ut på att försvara sina bundsförvanter utomlands.

En annan del av denna nya nationalistiska ideologi handlar om att bygga ett stort och starkt Ryssland och att återuppbygga inflytande i de tidigare sovjetrepublikerna och i andra regioner där det talas ryska.

De som står bakom denna nationalistiska ideologi argumenterar även för en clash of civizations mellan den ryska världen och vad de kallar den dekadenta västvärlden (McCauley.2016:1).

 

Writing for a global audience

Good evening!

When i view different statistics from different platforms its so obvious that all kinds of businesses needs to focus on the global audience and to have a website in English.

What i also can see is that when they write only in the national language they have a problem reaching a larger audience. I can see that a lot of businesses in Sweden don´t understand the enormous potential in being active on Twitter and Instagram.

When you are active on a platform it is important that you update with new content regularly and that you focus on offering high quality content. You should also use videos and photos as part of your marketing effort. Another important part of your strategy is to work with your search engine optimization.

Local search is important but it depents on where your customers and potential customers are. If you want to sell your products and/or services you have to think and act in a way where you reach out beyond national borders.

You have to do your research and check where your customers and potential customers are. Choose social platform based on where your customers are, because you can´t be everywhere.

What i can see is that when i write in english on social media i receive a much better response. When i do the same thing in Swedish i don´t receive the same response.

That´s why i focus on the english speaking audience on Twitter and Instagram.
