“According to a 2011 report by Catalyst, companies with the most women board directors had higher returns: Those with three or more directors outperformed those with none by 84 percent for return on sales and 46 percent for return on equity. Even in the financial sector, the presence of women makes a distinct difference. IN the wild world of hedge fund management, between January 2000 and May 2009, women managed hedge funds yielded a 9.5 percent return while men-managed funds returned 5.8 percent. During the 2008 crisis, women-run funds lost just 9,6 percent compared to menś 19 percent loss” (Tapia.2013:166).
